Get to Know Me

My story begins as a very quiet but inquisitive child growing up in the city of Los Angeles. I was always fascinated with taking things apart and understanding how they worked from a young age. I constantly found myself daydreaming about what I wanted to be when I grew up. (I imagined working as a firefighter—mostly because I thought the big red trucks with shiny lights were pretty cool). 

Fast forward to college, I was a bright-eyed young adult in a new city (San Francisco) with the feeling that I could take on the world. Throughout my studies, I worked various jobs, from fundraising to retail to hospitality and even some construction. These diverse experiences offered me opportunities to explore my passions. Ultimately, I realized that I loved helping people and forming genuine connections with individuals from all walks of life. 

After attaining my Bachelor of Science in Business from the Lam Family College of Business at SFSU, I officially joined the corporate workforce as a Professional Services Recruiter at Aerotek (one of North America’s leading staffing and services providers). During my time there, I supported recruitment for some of the fastest growing start-up companies in Silicon Valley, such as DoorDash, Instacart, and Credit Karma (just to name a few). Before long, I found myself obsessed with understanding the business models, unique products, and work cultures in the tech industry. Eventually, I transitioned into an internal HR role with TikTok as a Talent Acquisition Partner. 

Throughout my career, I’ve reviewed tens of thousands of resumes, conducted interviews, designed and implemented interview processes, consulted with business leaders, and coached candidates through difficult discussions. Through this, I discerned that nothing gives me more pleasure than helping people make meaningful steps towards their goals, whether that’s a life changing job offer, breaking into a new career field, overcoming obstacles, or strengthening their professional toolbox. 

Determined to turn my passion into a reality, I began exploring the world of career coaching. This journey involved extensive research, attending workshops, connecting with experienced coaches, and utilizing my prior experience in human resources and talent acquisition. As I bring on more clients, each with their own unique stories and aspirations, I believe my ability to listen, empathize, and provide tailored guidance will help make a significant impact on their lives.
